Heathrow Airport is One of The Busiest Airports In The World
Heathrow airport is
one of the busiest airports in the world and actually handles more
international passengers than any other airport in the world. It’s
quite lucky that we have this airport in England as, because of the
amount of flights to and from there, the ticket prices are usually a
lot cheaper than from smaller airports. Whilst this not be
necessarily true for short city flights within Europe, it is
certainly true for more long haul flights.
It is sometimes even
worth looking, when booking your holiday, to see if it would work out
cheaper to travel to Heathrow from your home town, fly from Heathrow
and then commute back again on your return. If there are a lot of
people going on the holiday it might surprise you how much cheaper
this actually works out. If everybody saves money on the flights then
you can use that money to hire a minibus from a company that
specialises in Heathrow airport transfers. You could actually be left
with a lot more spending money after you have booked your holiday
this way rather than flying from say Manchester or Birmingham
airport.
Obviously it isn’t
ideal that you have to travel way back up the M6 after a long flight
home, but if you leave your car at your local airport and try to
drive home that isn’t ideal either. Due to the amount of air
traffic that Heathrow deals with there is a knock on of lots of road
traffic around the airport. It’s definitely not advisable to try to
drive in unfamiliar, heavy traffic after a long flight so that’s
why it’s sometimes easier to get someone else to deal with all that
for you.
Booking your next
holiday this way is definitely worth considering. It might surprise
you how much money you could save and therefore be able to spend on
your holiday rather than in the travel agents. Also the convenience
of knowing that the final leg of your journey is taken care of well
in advance and that the vehicle will be waiting for you, rather than
you waiting around for a cab, is comforting when you are on that long
flight back to England.
